my trash can looks like this! I looked down and the bright green glow from my trash can caught my eye! The abundance of empty DMD bottles and cans that overflowed the edges made realize that I probably need to take a break from the computer and start going to bed before 4am every night! My roommate Britney is to blame for part of that! She reads & keeps me company while I edit, crop, label packages, order prints, email invoices and complain about school work that is not getting done! Much love to Britfit for being my late night/early morning companion! Love you!

Kenny & Christy: Engagement
After meeting Kenny and Christy for the first time, I knew they were going to be a fun couple! They totally trusted me when I suggested walking around downtown Norfolk for their engagement session instead of a park! They are so photogenic and willing to try anything, which was much appreciated.:) Thanks Kenny and Christy for such a fun session! I'm sooo looking forward to your wedding!

Marc & Danielle's Wedding
Never before have a I met a more determined, and as they like to call themselves, "worked-up" couple. Marc and Danielle's abundance of energy made their special day sparkle! Despite the sudden rainstorm during the ceremony, Marc and Danielle had a flawless wedding. They were together and that's all that mattered. Their happiness in each other shined through their never ending smiles and laughter. Friends and family danced the night away as they celebrated Marc and Danielle's new life together! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lux!
Danielle had brunch for all the girls while they curled hair and did makeup!
Not only was this a special day for Marc & Danielle, Danielle's parents celebrated their wedding anniversary as well! They shared a dance and a special toast from Danielle.

Lonnie & Dana's Wedding
She walked into the church with plans and dreams and excitement but all we saw was the "new youth minister". Little did I know that this woman was going to be someone I cried to, cried with, grew with, walked through tragedy with, & shared an amazing ministry with. I had no idea how much God was blessing me when Dana walked through the doors of our little country church. Knowing and loving her has changed my life. When we lost (Dana's husband) Michael over 5 years ago, I watched her experience something I never want to see anyone go through again. Grief, hurt, loneliness plagued her life but she grew, we grew, our church grew and God blew us with his amazing grace. Who knew a tragedy could end up being the start of new life. Who knew that God has bigger plans, despite the hurt and the pain.
As Dana likes to say, Lonnie is her miracle. We thought, she thought, everyone thought she could never love again. She would never look at someone the way she looked at Michael, but she does. She would never open her heart to another man besides her first love, but she did....and it has once again, changed all of our lives. This new family is not just another wedding for me, this is the ending and beginning of a new chapter in my life. As I photographed her walking down the aisle with her son Spenser by her side I couldn't help the streaming of tears running down my face (and the camera!!). This day was beautiful, monumental and I can't explain how much of a privilege it was to capture it for her and Lonnie. Thanks you two for seeing something in me. Thanks for pushing and encouraging me to do what I would have other wise written off as a job that's "too big". I love you both so much. I adore your children and you're new family. I'm so excited to see what the future holds and to be a part of it. God is so incredibly faithful.:)

Doug & Alyda
This lovely couple just got married 2 weeks ago and while most couples would be enjoying a week in a tropical paradise, these two drove from the Dakota's to Virginia! They sacrificed their honeymoon to be apart of Doug's sister's wedding, which I shot this past Sunday night. Dana had asked me to take a few shots of them as a newlyweds so we took a quick walk around the gardens and found a few neat places to shoot! This was my first time meeting Alyda and she's just dazzling. She's such a sweetheart with an awesome northern accent! I'm so happy for them. You can just tell that they're incredibly happy! Congratulations you two!!

Dana's Bridal Portraits
Get used to seeing this beautiful lady! Dana and Lonnie were married last night and I am hoping to blog their wedding this week! (Hopefully!:)
After several different convincing conversations, Dana agreed to put on the dress, fix the hair, polish the toes and take some bridal portraits. It was hott! Really hott! But I'm so glad we carved out some time to capture some shots of her in her BEAUTIFUL dress! She was stunning. I couldn't help but shed a few tears when I had my first look at her in her gown. I thought that after seeing her in her dress during the bridal session, I wouldn't be so emotional as she came down the aisle on the big day.....that was not the case. :)
